April Bread

There is nothing better than freshly-baked bread! Today I’d like to share my favourite recipe! It is really delicious bread and so easy to make 🙂

Gnocci und Brot 003

Here is what you need: Gnocci und Brot 001

½ litre of water (lukewarm)
600 g flour (wheat flour, spelt flour, wholemeal flour etc)
200 g grains (sesame, linseed, sunflower seed etc)
1 teaspoon of sugar
2 teaspoons of salt
2 bags of dried yeast

Fill the water into a mixing bowl, add the flour and the grains. I use 300 g coarsely ground wholemeal (rye), 300g wholemeal flour (wheat) and 200 g of sesame, linseed and sunflower seeds. Then add the sugar, salt and the two bags of dried yeast and knead the dough with the mixer or by hand. Then prove the dough for 30 minutes. You can either form the dough into a bread-like form and put it onto a baking tray with baking parchment or put it into an greased baking tin. Strew the loaf with grains. Now put the bread into the oven (ca 200°C, 45-60 minutes). You know that the bread is ready when you knock on the bread and it sounds hollow.

½ l Wasser (lauwarm)
600 g Mehl (Weizen-, Dinkel-, Vollkornmehl etc.)
200 g Körner (Sesam, Leinsamen, Sonnenblumenkerne etc.)
1 TL Zucker
2 TL Salz

Today was a really nice April day, warm and sunny. If the sun did not get you into a spring mood maybe listening to these lovely April songs will do the trick. Perfect for a spring day! I can almost feel the sunbeams on my skin 😉
